Transferrin
Transferrin is the main protein responsible for transporting iron in the blood. It carries iron from the gut and storage sites to cells that need it, including bone marrow for red blood cell production.
Transferrin Saturation
Transferrin saturation measures the percentage of the iron-transport protein transferrin that is occupied by iron. It is a key indicator of your body's iron status and helps distinguish between different causes of iron-related disorders.
Triglycerides

eGFR (Estimated Glomerular Filtration Rate)
eGFR (estimated glomerular filtration rate) is a calculated measure of how effectively your kidneys filter waste from the blood. It is the gold standard for diagnosing and staging chronic kidney disease and is derived from blood creatinine or cystatin C levels along with demographic factors.
hs-CRP (High Sensitivity CRP)
High-Sensitivity CRP (hs-CRP) measures very low levels of C-Reactive Protein in the blood. It is primarily used to assess cardiovascular risk by detecting low-grade chronic inflammation.

How do reference ranges work?
Every blood value comes with a reference range: the range most healthy people fall within. Reference ranges may vary between laboratories. That comes from differences in method and the group studied. Falling outside the range is a signal, not a diagnosis.

When should you test again?
Many values are worth measuring again after three to six months. That applies, for example, if you are following a lifestyle change or a treatment. A first test is then your baseline; the next one shows what changed.
